LS, feel like taking a ride to a dam somewhere in the EC?  Well, now you have all the co-ords.

I realised it was a list of dam locations. I just didn't realise there was a need for the info.
Very well, I guess it is valuable info. But the topic is moved from General Biking to here where it won't dissapear so quickly.
If it gets enough attention it will be made a sticky

Hi BOB,

I'm working on this very thing at the moment... I've already PM'd LuckyS to query a thing or two, and should be putting up a thread shortly with as much info as possible.

It will include Province, Near which city, Resort Name, Biker Friendly (Y / N), Tel ctc no, web addr, email addr, Lat and long, and comments as well, such as recommended by who, etc.,

I'm busy putting finishing touches to it, but it already includes around 650 records.

What I plan to do is contact those resorts for which I have email addr's, and find out if we'd be welcome or not. I undertake to maintain the data integrity, but will be reliant on input from all Dogs to contribute. I also plan to attach it in zipped "CSV" format, for those who want to upload it to their PDA type phones.

Any other feedback, please PM me, and we can chat about it

Regards

TB

Does T4A not already have a lot of that info on?
The other maps on Mapsource have the places but not the contact details.

I'm not sure about this... the only GPS I have is a Nuvi200, and as far as I know, that doesn't hve a feature to upload tracks from T4A. I'll have a loo into it soon. TB

You can do T4A on a 200, used it for a Namibia trip.

Issue is it is either T4A or another map, but somehow I got that sorted. (I think the T4A went on the onboard memory and normal map on the SD...will check if you need.
