I have just completed the BMW Rider Academy Proficiency course today ? yes they even allow Zooks there. :wink:
I have been riding since I was 14/15 and I figured I pretty much new my way around a bike. The Proficiency course was a pre-requisite to the Advanced course so I decided to give it a go anyway ? maybe the instructors could pick up a tip or two from me????.
Best R520 that I have ever spent on motorcycling ? and no the instructors did not need my tutoring.
I learnt a huge amount and had a great day to boot. The majority were DS riders and the highlight was getting onto Zwartkops track following the mornings safety programme. After a few tentative laps it turned into a flat out dice in a really conducive environment, although we did focus largely on the instructors programme. We probably completed in excess of thirty laps or so.
Now for the Advanced course :shock:
