Been thinking about all the Questions asked about the BMW 650 GS and the Dakar. ???
Maybe time we start to share some info on a dedicated thread as too help one another more easily.
I have quite a few mods to mine so i will start with one or two of them. Please add as you feel fit to.
Rear Brake Reservoir protector. Comes off a standard BMW X Challenge. Was about R180.00 when i bought it.
Rear Tail light LED conversion. Used the clear LED's ( The bright ones--a bit more than the others.) part number--L-7114PWC-G.
The Red ones for the brake. Part number. L-53SRC-F
The Resistors. Part number.CF 1/4W 5% 820R
The Parts.
Solder the long side of the LED Wire to the to the resistore( Positive.)
Slip a piece of Heat shrink over--crimp and push through the hole drilled where required.
