While riding down to Greytown with some dogs, the GS's Speedo started acting up.

When I speed up to 100kph, the speedo shows 100kph and the GPS shows 100kph.
Then I slow down to 60, the speedo only goes down to 95 and the GPS shows 60.
Now, I go up to 100 again, the speedo shows 135 and the GPS 100!

Next moment, I look down and I am doing 220kph!!

Swithing the bike on and off a few times, resets the speedo to 0, but then it all starts again.

I do not know what is wrong with the speedo, but now have this theory:

The speedometer aparantly works with a magnet and not a cable.
I had the cable of the GPS wound around the RAM arm, just above the speedo.

Is it possible that this wound cable could be causing a magnetic field which interferes with the GS's Speedo magnet? ???
