Colected My new RIDE.
« on: May 07, 2009, 07:14:25 am »
Went to collect my New ride yesterday :mwink: Husqvarna TE 450. Got home and took it for a quick spin ::) ::) ::)

SHIT this thing runs for a 450  :o Must say the Wide Ratio six speed box also does help. Roadworthy the works :mwink:

Got a long distance tank as well. Has some super brakes and suspension on it.

Cant wait till after the week-end to come back from my Waterberg Trip and take it through its paces properly.

There are no short cuts to anywhere worth going!
Performance is paramount, niceties only exist if it doesn't affect performance.

Don't rush it, it's helmet time you need, not a destination. Take it easy.

are they as reliable as the yamaha 450  5v engines? Seen one the other day - 30 000km no valve adjustments

I would wish for a 6th on my bike!

Change the front fork oil to 5wt.  ;)
Marzoocchi Shiver front. Same shocks that they used on the Husky TE450 that won the Enduro championship with last year ???.

Back shocks--Sachs

At least not going to cost me what the Honda xr650r did to get the front suspension working ::) Bloody tried to rattle my fillings loose before i had it properly set up

Got a 15litre tank --see- through for R 1800.00 --used once. The guy i bought the bike from was also kind enough to pay for a service before i fetched the bike. He was a newbie and was Shit scared of it. Thought i was downgrading from the XR650R ??? Looks and seems like a serious upgrade to me. Magura levers etc -Braided hoses etc. 40 hours for a service. A bargain as far as i am concerned. :mwink:

Private sale. Bought it from a mountain biker. All the TE 450 come with roadworthy and are road legal overseas in over 50 states. the kit comes neatly packed in a box and beleive it or Not it even has passenger footpegs that come with it.
Takes the crap out of trying to register a off road bike.
