Even got to that point where you got to little time and to many things to do? Well with a little bit of time management I found it possible to fit in three things I promised my wife, friends and regular riding buddies  I would do.

Mrs Ama wanted to get more riding time on her blue lover, her F650 Funduro, we wanted to have some good time with friends at the anually Breedekloof Oudoor festival and a nice day triop with neglected riding buddies. And this is how we did it. A 830klm ride and what a jol it was!

Mrs Ama smiling on top of her first pass, the Du Toitskloof pass.

At Jasons Hill private cellar with friends

Nice view. ?I mean the bikes

At Groot Eiland wine Cellar. Good food (oysters and champers) good friends, loud music and good weather.

After the fest we rode to De Doorns where we watched the rugby and overnighted at Johan?s farm

Early next morning Jan and g/f hooked up and off we go.
We rode N1 all the way to Lainsburg.

Lovely tar to Seweweekspoort

Start of the gravel

And finally?.

All smiles around (Mr and Mrs AmaRR)

END of part 1

Then we entered...

But nobody wanted to undress.....

Awesome rock formations

Loveley road

All to soon the Seweweekspoort ended. Then short tar to Calitzdorp and right to the Rooiberg Pass

From here no more pics taken but I promise I will go back to do it. Then on to Ladysmith for lunch and a highspeed dash through the Anysberg region to De Doorns. Said our goodbye's and arrived home at 19:30.

Nice ride! That GS12 looks interesting with the sidecovers painted red.

That Funduro looks good! First blue one I've seen. Original? Didn't know it came in blue.

How about dejavu! Yesterday as I waited to get my hair cut, I browsed through a 2005 Getaway mag and one of the articles was about the Seweweekpoort. Looked absolutely stunning!

I was just starting to read how the name came about when it was my turn. Anybody know?

Thanks Ama.

I honestly do not know what colors the Funduro came out with but man I like that little thing also. I knew however that the bike is resprayed.

Where the name seweweekspoort came from...Not sure but as short as the distance in the poort may be the awesome feeling to ride there makes double up

The beauty about the Breedevkloof outdoor festival is that in a radius of about 15 km around Rawsonville there is about 20 wine cellars and each one offer different activities and food. Its nearly impossible not to find what you are looking for. Just a friendly warning. Do not attend it with a bike....  And buy 20 oysters and you get a bottle champers free.
