Well last week saw me doing what will probably be the last of my survey trips on the bike.

Day 1 saw me head out on the N7 from Cape Town to Citrusdal. At this point I proceeded on dirt along the Olifants River which soon becomes the Clan William dam. This is the first time I tried a TKC on the front and I was really impressed in the performance of the tyre. The roads are very interesting and the scenery stunning.

The road continues passed Clan William past the Bulshoek dam all the way up to Klawer. Really great riding

After Klawer there is a bit of tar up to Nuwerus. After that I proceeded on the dirt road that runs alongside the N7 up to Kamieskroon.

After Kamieskroon there is a stunning dirt road that passes through numerous farms all the way to Springbok. Had a good laugh as I came around one bend and suddenly I was surrounded by a flock of very surprised sheep which proceeded to turn spin round and scamper off in all directions to the dismay of the two herdsmen trying to guide them through the gate.

Spent the night in Springbok at the Springbok Hotel.

Day 2 to follow
