Maverick & Lootch Saturday afternoon play
« on: February 12, 2006, 08:39:18 pm »
Yes folks once again we had a hour or two to spare and was suppose to take a friend of ours for the first time offroading but he cancelled last minute 8)

We had two chioces we could move it to another weekend or just go and make sure the field is still where we left it last week

Lootch aproaching

we took a small path through the tree's and shrubs, tight corners and negiotiating the branches can be interesting

Massive watercrossing had to be done, check the reflection in the mirror clear water

Of course we had to go play on the bumps again, Lootch going down

We also found a new place to go up, I nearly dropped my bike trying to get up there the first time and got stuck right at the top with a stalled motor and the bike nearly on the ground. Lootch managed to get up there easier

My newly fitted mirror fortunenately still intact

Even though it was overcast we were sweating after 30 minutes playing about, a quick rest and admiring our playground from the top of the bump

Lootch aproaching the slippery water puddle

Maverick playing in the field

a shot of me taking a shot  :?

Going through the water

They look so happy in their natural environment

My rapid decent

My aproach to the hill was not to successfull as I nearly dropped the bike the 2nd time on the top

Again another nice afternoon out and had fun, I do think my TKC's are running a bit low now as the grip is getting less impressive in the mud etc so might have to change the rear before the Salisbury offroad session next month.

Mmm, ja boet, certainly a thoroughly entertaining afternoon. Don't know about you but I certainly felt much more confident this time round - though I was still shitting myself when I went up that bank. Hats off to you for showing me it was possible to get to the top. Wish we had a little bit more space to get some speed though.

I'm just wondering about our friend who couldn't make it because he had to spend some quality time with his wife. Tried calling both their cell phones but no answer...

Very nice Mav and Lootch!

Maverick, you surely have a lot of confidence in Lootch's riding capabilities (which is A1 according to the reports given), to take the action shots you took. I mean, going through water/mud the bike can go anywhere! 8)

At least that is with me in control!

Eating your windscreen

Yeah well someone has to tell you.

Nice windscreen, it looks like a really good whack from the front wheel while off road with your helmet up is going to provide round one of a good battle of teeth versus screen.

I think the decision will be the screen by a KO in the first round.

I too have a flip up and have nearly done the same (it's on video) and it happens very fast.

ATGATT

Sorry don't mean to be a killjoy or a nag.
I wonder where that gravel road goes? And that, has usually made all the difference. (Apologies to Mr Frost)

Kamanya is such a sour grape.

 :D  :D  :D

But of course he is correct in this. One of the KTM Red Bull team riders once a year, two years running, got smacked out of the Paris Dakar race in their preparations, cos a roabook took out their noses and ALL attendant cartilige (Sp) - OUCH - but that was with atgatt.

So its not a given I am afraid, that with atgatt your not going to be taken out.

But good fun Maverick, you know I love that green clean screen of yours

I can, sadly, confirm that Maverick's level of "braveness" is much more than my level of riding skills. (Apologise for butchering the English language...)
