Ja, seems we have a few aspiring traffic cops in our midst...  ::)

And if the naysayers read the whole thread, they will see that I never disputed the plate issue, and I stated it a few times already.

(Im talking about the headlight issue and his attitude only, not the no plate thing…)

Like I said, Im at peace with the plate story...
Im pissed at the headlight issue, which was the flick of a switch away. And he never once mentioned it until I got the ticket for it. Having to cough R200 for not flicking a switch is harsh in any language...
And this guy's general rotten attitude and way of treating people who pay his salary.

:BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

Vegeet nou asb die nommer plaat!!!

Ek moan oor sy attitude en die lig.

So for the last time, leave the plate matter out of this, its a side-issue!!!! Plate size is a dead horse and it has been sodomized to the n-th degree already. If you want to carry on with plates, please go and do it elsewhere?

And TBK, I am not whining. Maybe you should get to know me before spewing out tough talk like that... Or read the whole thread first...  :thumleft:

I am not aspiring to be a TC, and I have read the whole thread. I haven't met you in person but it feels as if I know you just by reading your thread and responses. :thumleft:

At one stage the thread actually went as far as suggesting retribution to the TC. I am NOT suggesting that you're inciting this, but it would appear that some people were ready to assist with whatever to get back at the TC.

Giving you a ticket for your light that was not switched on is legitimate, however insignificant it might appear. One thing you must admit, is that you'll remember to switch you lights on in future.
We all from time to time transgress the law, sometimes we're caught and if the TC oversteps the boundaries of acceptable behavior it is our right to take it up with his/her superiors.
I strongly recommend that you take this step, if you haven't done so yet.

No worries, mate, I just think a couple of your claims were rather bogus.  :bueller:

I dont believe that anything I did was contributing to coppers staking out the popular bike routes... (On popular bike days only, ie Sundays).

The guys who were leaning towards physical action/reaction to Judge Dredd were rapped on the knuckles and everyone moved on.

Im definetely going to report Dredd to his superiors, I just havent had time yet. Busy moving house at the moment, but I will have my say...

Come to Krige's on a Friday afternoon and we can have a chat over a beer?

Bogus claims, what bogus claims?

The following to me is a ridiculous statement... Or am I missing something?
Bus if you don't like the fines or treatment this officer gave you take it up with his superiors. It is attitudes like this that get all bikers stopped on Sunday morning rides.

And the following is rather bold and based on assumption.
You seem like an intelligent guy, you either loose the loud pipe or get a metal number plate, quite simple actually.
I did actually try a metal plate and that tore to pieces too. My following mission is to weld a piece on to my muffler to try direct the pulses away from the plate. But I have other things in my life that are more pressing at the moment.

The following is just plain rude:
Have u actually laid a complaint with his superiors, if yes them great? Let us know what the outcome was. If not, quit whining and pay the fine.

Im a very sensitive type of guy...  ::)

Like I said, this sort of thing is much better discussed over a brooskie.

One for you Bus....

This is by far the best Traffic cop joke in years.

While I was driving down the N1 the other day, (going a little faster than I Should have been) I passed under a bridge only to see a traffic-cop on the other side with a radar gun laying in wait.

The cop pulled me over, walked up to the car, and with that classic patronizing smirk, asked: "Runway too short?"

To which I replied, "I'm late for work."

To which he asked, "What do you do?"

"I'm a rectum-stretcher," I responded.

The traffic cop was surprised and confused. "A what? A rectum-stretcher??"

And just what does a rectum-stretcher do?" "Well," I said, "I start by inserting one finger into a rectum, then I work my way up to two fingers, then three, then four, then with my whole hand in, work side to side until I can get both hands in, and then I slowly but surely stretch the hole, until it's about 6 feet."

Then the cop asked questioningly and cautiously, "And j ust what do you do with a six-foot poepol?"

To which I politely replied, "You give him a radar gun and park him behind A bridge..."

Speeding ticket: R250.00
Court costs: R1000.00
Look on traffic cop's face: P R I C E L E S S . . . .

Guys

This post is actually amusing. I find it irritating that traffic cops have issue with minor infringements but conveniently ignore major offences caused by taxis, due to them being much "harder" targets. Let me tell you a story about a biker mate of mine (who lives in Tableview and rides a GS650) and his intolerance of traffic cops. He is wrong all the way in this little tale so those of you who are offended by "bending" the rules can stop reading right now.

A couple of years ago he was driving up Blouberg Road one Friday night when he was caught in a camera trap. He was driving an Audi S4 at the time. For some unknown reason, this pissed him off badly and he drove home, removed his number plates and proceeded to blitz the trap 8 times at moerse speeds! The ninth time they caught him. Obviously groot kak and he had to appear in court. When he got to court the traffic cop who nailed him was there and made some chirp to my friend with a smirk on his face. My friend (a Leb boykie from the south) lost it in court and proceeded to tell the traffic cop off in front of the black magistrate. Something to the effect of "get a REAL job or suchlike". In colourful language. Apparently the magistrate could not hide the smile from his face! My friend was fined R 1200 and told me it was worth it!

I would hate to think what would happen if Ossifer Sinklair dares to stop him! Seriously! This dude has written off 3 taxis with his Landcruiser who dared to cut him off as they are wont to do. But that's another story.
