Sad to hear. I think the tarring of the pass would have given a huge economic boost to the residents at the top. It would improve the lives of those that use the road every day at the expense of the few that like it for its coolness and bragging rights.

I tend to agree with this one. The eastern side of Lesotho is very remote due to the limited access. A proper road will lead to a fanancial boost to a very poor area, not to speak about the temporary construction jobs created.

The alignment of the pass is extreme and to fit a modern road alignement through there is not possible. Safety of the users is also at risk everyday of their lives.

It's fun to ridee with a bike though :ricky:
