I often go to the top of the mountain because its only 2 km's from my front door.
We can also access the eagle's nest nearby.
will post more next week.

For those unfortunate ones not living in the Eastern Cape, we have plenty of places to ride DS bikes and to explore routes that are off the beaten track. For those fortunate ones living here, especially those staying in East London, we have the Wild Coast (former Transkei) on our doorsteps. Before I get repremanded by Mignes, I thought I will post a couple of pics from our part of the woods ......

Because of the limit of 256kB, I will post 4 or 5 replies.

This picture was taken between Port St Johns and Coffee Bay at the wreck of the Aster that got stranded in 1995.

This picture is at a local shabeen at the Mbashe valley. So no need to take beers or food with, these can always be obtained along any route.

This is on a cattle track close to the Qora gorge (between Mazeppa and Kob Inn). Since I have broke my shoulder, I do less of these ....

Someone asked me where this is and I cannot remember who?
It is Roodekrans  -  Entry from Rangeview Ext 4 - Fun place with a few technical climbs and water. PM me again and I will meet up with anyone wanting to visit this local spot. :D
