Any good place to go live there that you have to try get double bonds for a monthly payment?

If you look hard enough you still find a few good little B&Bā??s at a reasonable price along the coastline there.

No.
I've rukked it, I've plukked it, I've even dropped it... and the KLR is still in one piece...

Does that qualify as genuine South African architecture? Is there such a thing as that?
Don't look back, that's not where you're going.

I think it can be seen as South African.
When I was still very small ...... erm ....... much younger ;D the kitchen floor was still the old cow dung floors.
The inside walls are still the old mud packed. Although they are now covered mostly with wood or some other form of material.

One big problem: the outside wall are starting to separate from the inside walls :o

I'll post some more pics on the Architecture thread

Ok these are some photos of the area roughly about 10 minutes from my house!  The beach is awesome and you can drive on it - it goes for miles and miles and the bush is nice and thick too!!

Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting... F&*k!! What a Ride

OK, it's 4 pics stitched together, but you get the idea nonetheless...

It's really a cool place to live (out of season). I spend my dec vacations in JHB where it's nice and quiet - they are all in Knysna and Plett!

 ;)

Taken when we went marking territory peeing in Nardus`s part of the woods. Second pic is from an outside toilet in Xhora(apparently pronounced Kogga).  There was no way any fly was gonna chase me out of that pozzie checking the view...they tried hard.
