I snapped a few pictures today, fairly random, just to kind of give you guys a rough idea of what I have to live with up here...
Crappy through the windshield pictures.... this is outer Wasilla, heading south towards Anchorage. I have to look at this mess every morning on my way to work.

Downtown Anchorage. The Honda shop on the left is where I bought the Pegaso. Best thing about Anchorage is that it's only 15 minutes from Alaska

(that's a joke, son.... )

I grew up in Eagle River, which is about halfway between Anchorage (the big city) and Wasilla (Home of the Iditarod), where I live these days. The notables concerning this phot are as follows-
The building is my old grade school. My first day there I started a riot in the lunchroom and ended up in the principals (headmasters) office being threatened with a paddling, amd went downhill from there.
The mountain to the left is Baldy....during my youth i managed to ride my Honda CT90 to the top of said mountain. It was not easy, nor was it legal (state park land ) but I made it, after many attempts. I actually did it in October IIRC, after the ground had frozen but before it had snowed and frozen mud is an excellent medium for riding. Ahhh, good times.

Quick out the side window sunset on the Palmer hay flats, at about 4:30 PM. This time in December I won't even see sunrise or sunset for the most part during the work week, sunup at 1000 AM and sundown at 3PM.

My street, first driveway on the left.
