MSA is hosting another WOMENS DAY event at Zwartkops on 9 Aug!!!

The whole day is free for ladies - cars, bikes, karts, etc!

...And I know there's gonna be a few WD chickens interested in entering the race!

Ladies ‘Motorsport pentathlon’ event
Zwartkops Raceway, Sunday 9 August 2009

The world’s first ladies motorsport pentathlon race covering scooters, cars, trials bikes, karts and superbikes is being staged at Zwartkops Raceway on Women’s Day. So girls, make history and show us what you’ve got!

The action will take place on the third open day run by MSA’s Women in Motorsport Panel with the assistance of The Motor Finance Corporation.  This means that there will be lots of excited women and their families cheering you on through the morning’s qualifying and the race.  See below for more information about Women’s Day events and what it means for women out there on a national level.

Qualifying takes place during the morning. Competitors will be timed and accumulate points over four categories. The five competitors with the most points overall will compete against each other at 15h00 in a nail biting end-to-end race involving scooters, cars, trial bikes, karts and superbikes. As they complete each category competitors will run to collect their next motorcycle or vehicle to race towards the chequered flag for top honors, amazing trophies and prizes.

The entry fee is R650 and includes all vehicles, motorcycles, karts and scooters for all five categories as well as transponders, medical support on the day and insurance of vehicles.

Entering – the details:
The competition is a club event promoted and organized by Speed Queen Racing Academy. It’s for ladies, 16 years and older, who have signed an indemnity form upon registration.  Up to 25 ladies can enter and should there be more entries than the maximum number of starters the order of being received will take preference.
Entries close on the 27th July 2009 and should be submitted on the official entry form available on the website, see below. Entries received after the 27th July will be subject to an additional late entry fee of R150. The organizers reserve the right to refuse an entry without giving a reason as permitted in GCR’s 99 (i) and 100.  All competitors have to have a minimum of a bike and car learner’s licence for insurance purposes.

More info:
For entry forms and more info competitors can contact Louise on 011 466 1955 or visit the Motorsport South Africa website: www.motorsport.co.za  and click on Women in Motorsport page.  The website will be updated with the names of competitors, prize details, etc.
