Yamaha Tenere - now available in PE
« on: July 08, 2009, 09:00:59 am »
Eventually the much talked about Yamaha Tenere is now available at the local PE Yamaha stealer.   :mwink:

Here are some images capture by cell-phone during a  :drif: session last Saturday.  Unfortunately at R89k I can at this stage only touch and stroke, hoping for a quick Lotto win ....  Add some decent hand-guards, replace the silly foot-pegs and plastic bash-plate with an aluminium jobbie = a mean contender in the D/S motorbiking arena.  :thumleft:

I only notice now that it has dual discs upfront. Should be a welcome improvement or perhaps it was a necesarry change to cater for the added weight?

It would appear that they not selling like hotcakes, there's been one on Droomer's floor for a while now. The sales guy told me they only received the one and last Saturday morning it was still available. Nice looking bike in that rugged sort of way, but just shy of 90K they are going to struggle selling, not to mention that it effectively new bike with old engine that struggles with the added weight.
