Kuilie made the mistake of telling me he had two days off. Big mistake! Being a Thursday and a Friday we had 4 days.
Rode down to his place late Wednesday. We started a bit late on Thursday due to Kuilies work keeping him longer.
We took the tar all the way to Lutzville.
All credited goes to Kuilie who took  the pics.

Arrived on friend Michaels farm just before sunset. He was on the tractor spraying seedonions.
Best time of day for spraying. Not a breath of wind.

Left for Lutzville. Stopped at the spot I was hit headon eight years ago on my Tenere.
Filled up with fuel and turned off at Koekenaap for De Punt.

Beachpumping with machines. No divers involved. Just takes a LOT of diesel and a calm sea.

The pipes we used. Thirty meters in lenght ans 6 inches in diameter.

Rob Eiland. They used to mine seal manure here and had a pulley system to get the bags to shore.

We kept on towards Geel Walle to show Kuilie my favorite crayfish divingspot. To get there you have
to drop down a gorge. Halfway down the gorge I realized this road is BAD and there is no way of turning
around! At the bottom Kuilie asked me " and how did you think are we getting out of here"? I had no
answer. It was steep full of loose sand and rocks and it was deeply rutted. I went first and dropped it
round the first blind corner. We picked the bike up and from there I just kept it open and straight. I
could not see Kuilie but heard the Scorch in the gorge. He made it!! I did not feel like picking up
another pig!

I had a couple of bikes that I used to ride to work. Started with a XT 500, XL 500 S,this one a XL 600 R
and a Tenere XT600. If I used the road along the coast it was 32 km to the mine. Longway on the public
roads it is 47km.
