Read any post about bikes on this forum and within the first 2 pages the words "Honda quality" will be use.
I know that Honda was way ahead of everyone back in the 1970 in terms of quality (build quality and reliability).
But is that still the case today ???
Or is this just one of those sayings that will never go away ???
The new KTM 990 are rock solid but every non KTM owner still has the mental image that KTM's are not reliable etc etc - is the Honda quality another myth that you grew up with and thats why its true?
Sure their bikes dont break - so reliability is there but build quality? I dont know?
When I was looking to buy I took the XL650V ie. Transalp 650 for a spin - nice smooth bike but the build quality was not better than any other brands. Actually I would have to say that the controls and all plastic parts look rather cheap - as if they belonged on a Vuka ???
What constitutes quality?
