Camp Sites

Many, many years ago, when Escom was still a few batteries connected togther, my old man and I used to load a few bikes onto a trailer and head for Pilgrim's Rest for a few days. We used to camp at a campsite called Ponies on the Grasskop side of Pilgrim's. This burnt down and was never rebuilt. Some years ago I returned to the municipal campsite at Pilgrim's and was disapointed. So the question is, are there any campsites out that way which could be recomended?

Intrestingly, in the late 70's we could ride from Pilgrim's Rest all the way to the Mount Sheba hotel on forestry roads, awesome, and only got hooked once by a forestry ranger, who very reluctently took our photo and then pointed out the nearest exit road! Fond memories indeed. 8)
