Hey Panne, do you still have this bike? Can you tell us if you have used it a lot or not really? Would you recommend?

Cheers :thumleft:

Thanks shark & GRIM.

Needs a bit of work, the odd bolt here and there but otherwise it's in great nick. :ricky: Want to go over it tonight and then give Graham Harris a call for a spare or two.

@GRIM: The light & kill switch has a ground wire which is not attached to the frame at the mo. Any idea where it should be attached to, or can I just use any suitable location?

Loads of info here:

I curently own an 08 rev 3, and although I don't compete at the moment, I still ride fairly regularly.
It is an awesome bike, most bang for your buck that you are going to get at the moment - The early Evo's had some teething issues, mostly with their frames, and the recent evo's are still pricey. Spares for the rev3's are still available, including plastics, and the bikes are really robust. Powe delivery & balance is fine for a casual rider up to top intermediate level...

I would also like to know what it feels like to ride something like this. How do we mere mortals compare to the pros?

Will it ever be possible for a weekend rider to use this bike to get up ledges etc? The pro's make it look so easy, that's why I would like to know how it compares to your regular enduro bike

Trials bikes are the most advanced of offroad bikes. they can do ANYTHING and go ANYWHERE - if you know how to ride them.
The steering is very very direct - at first you have to concentrate just to go in a straight line.
The steering stops are almost non existant - a bit disconcerting at first.
The footpegs are very far back - if your weight isn't in the right place wheelie time!
The accelleration (torque) is fierce.
Braking is sharp - one finger only.
The trials tyres grip almost all the time. Forget about power slides.

There is quite a lot to get used to but it doesn't take that long to ride around and hop the odd log.
Jumping up ledges............................yeeeeeeew.

Plenty places - you can even ride in your garden...

My garden is perhaps a little small. Ok let me rephrase, places with decent obsticles? Maybe a few big tyres lying around? Some logs? An old car? Just some stuff to try and get over

OK, Next to my house is some good riding - plenty of obstacles, and a nice spread of difficulty - i.e. it is a very beginner friendly spot, but still challenging. If anyone wants to do some trials here give me a shout, & we can arrange it. Own trials bike is necessary, but if you want to try some trials type riding on other bikes it is also fine...

This weekend is out, and Sundays suit me better...

He sold it to his friend Dean, who hardly used it, and I got it from him. Spotless.

Would love the videos. Send me a PM with your number.
