8)  8) Nice pics, the place really looks desolate
When in doubt, Gas It! It may not solve the problem, but it WILL end the suspense!

Wish I was there!!! - great pics Katoom, great event and great spirit.

Just goes to show, we are allowed a little more freedom every now and then. You captured why I ride - exactly!

Looks like a scene out of Easy Rider - keep them coming.

Never had any safety gear when I started riding.

And here in the Shire in the summer everyone just rides around in shorts and t-shirts anyway.

Too bloody hot to wear ATGATT.

Nice pics mate, not a lot out there is there? Looks a bit like the Utah Salt Flats, or the Attacamma desert in the Andes.

Except for that UFO closing fast behind the bike in the night pic. 8)
It's not just a mode of transport, it's a fking adventure!

I'm of the opinion that under such controlled conditions you can gooi kaalgat if you want to.

I stand amazed how the cops allow people to go without helmets at some of these rallies based on the premise that we signed "indemnity forms". What about the accident where you ran into an innocent party and you basically kill yourself - think about that emotional scarring on that person - indemnify that! There's a fight for you Sharky.

Leave the guys to play kaalgat or kaalkop (I see some "kussing" damage there Katoom) in the middle of nowhere under controlled conditions when there is nobody but yourself to be responsible for.

Now where did I put that bus ticket...?

Don't worry boys,if you look at the last foto of Katoom cleaning his goggles, that's the way we travel (full gear). We were only driving/playing around on the pan.It was +/- 40 D. Celcius.Everybody does brake the ATGATT rule sometime or  another  :o

If alcohol was involved it would be ok. You turn to rubber when you have a few in you and fall nicely.

It looks like fun, but all I can say is my worst fall was in the open when I least expected it. Broke the collar bone and hit my head hard on the ground. Lucky for the helmet.

Controlled environment?
Looks far far away from medical help, very controlled.
NOT!

Ride to ride again!

I'll be offended if you don't post pictures like this again.

Gear is good.

Sometimes, just sometimes, despite what common sense says, it's good to do what you did.

Great Pictures, I'd like to go there and have a look.
I wonder where that road goes? And that, has usually made all the difference. Appologies to Mr Frost

Not going to say anything about the gear as I am as guilty as you lot. :D

But I think it must have been a lekker party and playtime.

Want to go there also but keep postponing it. And when I go I am sure I will do the same or sommer go kaalgat. Now that kaalgat would be a true freedom feeling. It remind me of my 100th skydive jump....also kaalgat....  :D
Gewoontlik n@@i ek reguit aan op fyndraai.
