Superbike Mag 990 vs 800 GS
« on: July 30, 2009, 11:20:42 am »
Ok guys its on the shelf.Get the mag and read the whole truth.....sorry for the dark side...the 800 has proved way better Ha ha jokes. No Clinton is clever he has kept the final decision over till next month to force us all to buy the September issue aswell.
But can you beleive it they tested the 800 on the mine dumps with road tyres. The 990 had scorps.
Also much mention made of the Wilddogs. :ricky:

Now superbike mag sales will soar this month.
All the dogs running out and buying it.
I've been on the Jameson diet for a week, so far I've lost 7 days....

So they at least took both on proper offroad ?

Ususally in a mag like this they judge the bikes in question on their road ability, or how close they are to a superbike on the road.

I haven't ridden any of the two, but I can't imagine the 800GS being better than the 990...

Yeah thats why the 800 had to be fitted with road tyres to balance it out a bit :pot:

Unfair comparison...but the DS field doesn't offer a lot of bike choices, guess it will be the normal 'neutral' comments as result. Something like, ''both come to their right...''

However, wouldn't mind reading it, but Superbike doesn't deliver magazines 3000km South West of CT!

Maybe they are waiting for the 800 rider to wake up after riding that "lewensgevaarlike" bike before making the final decision.  :pot:

It would be interesting to hear what would be considered a "FAIR" comparison?????

The 990/950 can only be compared to itself, Chuck is compared to Chuck Norris, how dare you compare him to someone else?

You don't dare compare a 990 to any other bike or even to a 950.
