'03 950s and newer model differences ?
« on: July 30, 2009, 05:40:56 pm »
Is there significant differences between the '03 950 s and the later models?
I see there is one for sale in Cape Town with low km's.........but I want to know if there is any particular problems with the older models that have been sorted in the newer models.

Thanx

The older models did have a few issues, this bike should have had them all corrected by now though. There are specific weaknesses the 950 suffers from, but they are not insurmountable.
Fuel pump sometimes fails because of moisture on the points,(repairable) the clutch slave cylinder has issues,(replaceable but pricey) and the '03 had engine gasket leaks, but these should have all been rectified by now.
Depends on price and kilo's as to wether this scoot is a good deal.
If you can keep your head in the midst of all this confusion, you don't understand the situation!
