Yes Franschhoek, Stellenbosch is behind that mountain (Simonsberg) via Helshoogte Pass.

Do not know the place Mother but my guess would be somewhere on the right of the road as you drive towards Popa Falls Namibia.
Lots of camps on the Delta on that road.
