Got home a short while ago & thought i would do a short introduction to our adventure. The guys will tell their stories and post their pictures as it happened. I would like to briefly describe the Wildthing Camp & terrain. We arrived & checked in with the formalities and pitched our tents. Walking around we saw top class infrastructure like a generous bar area, dining & braai areas with lots of grass & shade. All this overlooking the wonderful Orange River. The place is rustic but fashioned to be practical and inviting. Lots of reed lapas & fencing etc. The organisation around the catering was well practised, generous, simple and dam tasty!
Our lead riders and sweepers doing the six alternative courses were just fantastic :thumleft: It was suggested we do the '69' route for starters to get used to the terrain which is a good thing when riding over grounds resembling hell. 69kms of unrelenting rock in all forms, sand of every grain & consistancy combined with gradients to suit all phobias.

Being a core KTM event the 41 bikes, largely KTM,  were often piloted with very experienced enduro guys. Pretty intimidating ;D
There was a smattering of BM's, a KLR & the everpresent XT660R >:D...not to mention a Versys
This was afterall Enduro turf...
