My l`il Edgy learning to surf on a boogie board

Edgy is that Shelly Beach in Kenton ?

Man, I spent hours and hours in those waves, my mom lives in Kenton. Between the Kariga river and the Methodist Church, Cornwall Road.

Man I miss that place, have not been there for a few years!!

Wow!   Impressive! You sure know the spot! No wonder you missing home boet!

 :mwink: :mwink:

Yup, I learned to swim in the pools of Middle Beach, know that coast line between Kariga mouth and Bushmans mouth like the back of my hand, every pool, cave and rock  :thumleft:

Absolutely stunning piece of coast.
 :drif: :drif: :drif:

This was taken in Dec04 on holiday there.

Knopkop, do you remember the beach where you walk in through the nature reserve, over the dunes, and come down into this secluded beach surrounded by rocky outcrops? We used to always go there.

Cant remember the name. Just know where it is. Been many years since I last went there

If you leave from the Car Park in Westbourne Road (in Kenton, on the Bushmans River side) and you walk through the path through the bushes, over the dunes you get to the top of Shelly Beach.

I just remember that my friend lived in a house on that road. At the end of teh raod you could park and walk on the path then over the dunes.  Coloureds would often braai on skottels where you left the cars. We used to come down from grahamstown. Never looked at street names. I just knew where to go to find secluded beaches. Used to be safe in those days.

They are still safe.

Taken last Sunday in Port Shepstone at a dog show (agility)...she's not my biological daughter but she adopted me as her father  and what a gem she is, I'm very blessed to have such a special individual in my life. She just has this irresistable nature, everyone just falls in love with her.

My boys.........

Sad though............ the last pic taken around 2008 of the boys, shortly before a massive fallout with the ex caused so much crap that the youngest has not spoken to me in nearly 3 years......... and the eldest... well he's 20 now and does his own thing...!

For those of you with youngsters... enjoy them as much as possible, they grow up far too soon!
