Was on my way to the ACDSF via a 900km epic dirt route. 20km short of arrival on thursday I had a massive off on a dirt road in the arse end of nowhere. Rode straingt into an uncovered ditch across a sand road, travelling at a fair pace.
Long story short. Compound fracture to my femur that required the fitting of pins and things plus a rib or 2. I am f--ked. Havn't seen the bike but it is safe in Joburg somewhere. Won't be riding 'anything' for a loooong time.
Took pics for a RR that I might post in a while (don't know where the camera is). The route we took was awesome, one of the best I've done so far. Real pity it ended in disaster but I will be back!
