Boys and gals

I need information about roads, pubs, camping etc for the area north of the N4 and West of Pilanesberg.

Any information will be appreciated.

Thanks

Ek wil 'n overnighter trippie maak in ongeveer hierdie square box

Hey Ama

Check out our ride report...

The Doornrivier 4x4 campsite is awesome and what good value for money. We each paid R30 rand that included nice shaded camping spot, a very good braai with grid and enough wood to sink a ship and the owner arranged for free ice for us as well. If you ever in the Zeerust area looking for good camping try them.

Its a nice area, best thing to do is just ride and then ask a farmer if you can camp.
Rally nut. What could possibly go wrong?

Try Santa at Marico Tourist Information 083-272-2958 ( BTW she runs a feeding scheme for orphans and other children who are starving because of the AIDS epidemic. I am sure a few rands donation when you visit her would help ).
We have stayed at Maruntwane Bed and Breakfast about 11 km west of Groot Marico on the N4 / Zeerust road. Phone Sarie Jordaan 014252 ask for 2540 ( Groot Marico is the last manual exchange in the country ). Try to stay at the rustic bush camp, which is much quieter than the main house and is within walking distance if you have a road bike.
They will also make a good breakfast or lunch.
Johan is the last person in the Marico to make mapoer by the traditional methods , and very nice stuff it is too. Do not have any unless you are sleeping over, because you will fall on your head and mess the tar.
If there are no hunters around the rough bush tracks are very good to ride, but not on a road bike.
Do not mess with the ostrich.
Clinicians can contact the clinicians' hotline number on 0800 111 131 (for doctors only); and, in addition to 0800 029 999, the public can also contact the public hotline number on 0800 111 132. These lines all operate 24 hours a day.
