Greetings all, I am just about to start working on a book documenting all the ghost towns and towns that are on their way to becoming ghost towns in South Africa.
This thread has been a godsend, there were quite a few of these towns that I did not have on my list.

You are welcome to have a look at my map (so far), more have to be added, if you know of any that I don't have on the list your help would be greatly appreciated.

Also if you would like to find out more about the project and you are on the "Facebook" then you can check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/ForgottenNationZA

If any of you have the GPS co-ords for these place and would like to share, please do  ;)

Mariepskop's, Moraba, Italian POW village near Barrington, Jamestown near Barbeton

Thanks, Shayne.

How does places like Heilbron, Viljoenskroon and Kroonstad, just to name a feqw qualify as ghost towns?? Kroonstad for one is incredibly far from being a ghost town.  ???

So 100km van springbok af.

Daars is darem bietjie positiewe nuus. Transhex het nou weer begin myn by Kleinzee.

Was laasjaar daar gewees.  Moet op jou bucket list wees.
