PART 1:

I've been badgered to bits to post some pics about the trip so here goes.

When I asked MrsBig two months ago: ?So how about going to Baviaanskloof for the forum year end function?? she said:
?What forum?? and ?I didn?t know that we go to rallies??
Well, it wasn?t quite a rally now was it?
Being a relative newbie to the forum thing (only joined September) it?s odd how easy it was to find that sense of connection.

We lazily set off on Thursday morning (apologies to the Gautengers) traveling mostly on tar albeit exploring some alternate routes.

The ?goodbye? view over Franschhoek. Imitating Moose Miller (aka Malcolm)

Making our way as far as Wilderness for a overnight stop.
(Look's familiar - hey Kaboef?)

Friday we traveled over the mystical Outeniqua Pass and steadily made our way towards Uniondale.
Btw - Uniondale definitely won't be on my list of premium holiday destinations.

Finally some dirt road again.
Took a break, had a snack and waited for the tires to cool down.
We came into Baviaans from the road closest to Uniondale. Virtually unmarked and a bit longer than from Willowmore.
Fantastic scenery though and even a rocky little 'pass' en-route.

Funny thing.
It doesn't matter how fast you travel, the dust is always quicker.

A welcome sight indeed. Some cold beers and company.

Bikes kept pouring in as the shade lengthened.
