A suggestion: the 24th is a public holiday, so can just as well take leave the Tuesday and have a mini bash somewhere before the GS Challenge?

BMW said:Lachlan Harris, General Manager of BMW Motorrad South Africa has announced that the Great African GS Challenge will be held from 26 to 30 September 2007.
"This is a week later than usual, but there are several very good reasons why we decided on these dates," Lachlan said. "Among them are the location of the venue, the accommodation of our substantial contingent of Jewish clients who celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur until 22 September, better utilisation of the public holiday on 24 September - and the fervent hope that a week closer to summer means higher night temperatures."
He added that the organising team has scrutinised feedback on the 2006 event - and has come up with a few very interesting changes in response. Expect an announcement on this soon.
"We have also found a superb venue for 2007, and I have little doubt the routes will be the best ever. The sheer variety of surfaces and scenery is breathtaking." As usual, the area and exact venue will remain a secret until June next year.
