one lil thing about the tenere that does bug me is the ignition. I have the another 2 keys on the keyring being for topbox and disklock and the keys vibrate against the fron of the tank scratching the paint ...Yamaha should of put a guard there to prevent that .

Also , has yamaha recalled anyones bike to do the mods as mentioned by half bac?

Saw another new TEn at the 4 way stop at harties yesterday , anyone here?

Had a call from Yamaha Pinetown head office today regarding my Tenere and the airfilter issue and was assured they were doing everything to get it sorted. Must say I'm very impressed with the effort being made.  They are aware of the bashplate mounting bracket cracking and was told they were awaiting parts for the electrical/ bat problem.

Bet you do - Im stoked over the Tenere and I dont even own one.

I'm taking one out today for the weekend - Bike/Ride Review in the overberg mountains - doing photoshoots and HD DVD production all weekend on the Tenere with a film crew.

Will post the pics on Monday

Gotta love my job :)

Here’s a rear view of my Tenere’ with the new “Load Rack” which I got from Gstry on Friday. It seems as though the moderators have removed his thread regarding this piece of kit, not sure why cause as far as I’m concerned it’s a very well made and stunning accessory to have on the Tenere! I also don’t believe he is planning on making a living out of  these racks, just making an exclusive piece of kit available to fellow WD Tenere’ owners. Well done Geoff  :thumleft: , I love it.

Hey fellow Tenere riders , question time again.

I have dialled my forks in a bit as i am 105 kg's and found the standard setting just a touch on the soft side. Anyway now the front forks recess about 15 mm into the fork. a nice water catchment area ...any of you aware of a cap that one can put here to prevent water lurking there?

thanks

Hey another 2 questions:

1. My manual says the clock is on even if the ignition key is OFF. My clock does not remain on when the ignition is off. What do you guys say?
2. Manual says tank is 23 litres ,yet various sources on the net say its 22litres, so which is correct?

Thanks
