I have fitted a taller screen om my Tenere.  Find that the bike snake at about  140km/h.  What can be the problem?

Regards
Tenere660

Get Yamaha to tighten the steering, not sure how they do it but they did do mine.

 :3some:  Hi Guys!

Here from the Cape!

Took a demo to the Hell and the following Monday bought the only one in the Cape. So I say hi! And nice reading this forum as to what all goes with the new toy.

As I have 150km on the clock and no off-road so far, nothing wrong with my bike. Even with the demo which I took to the Hell, nothing went wrong.

I am still awaiting Yamaha with the extras, like engine protector and handle grip protectors. Other than that, I have the bash plate and crash bars.

Well this is just to say HI! And hope we "Tenere" guys meet somewhere on a outride!

Cheers!

Hi Marshall!

Sorry Dude! When you have so many Yami products at home like me....one gets the red carpet treatment!

You better book the next ones, they should arrive Xmas. So maybe something for the Xmas tree?

By then they should have all the extras so you should not have to wait like me. And all the other homework has been done.

Spotlights, light protector and crash-bars!

Other than that, service is excellent from the team there at "Roomers"

Yami

No worries, I was a bit indecisive till after the weekend 600km demo.

I have been doing bike reviews and demo ride on all the bikes in the market - I must say my blood has always been orange (KTM)

but now there is tinges of blue, Sahara, White, Grey and Burgundy  :ricky:

Had a look at this, but think that it was just a freek accident ! Point of impact is what caused the tank to break away like that me thinks! :thumleft:

I was quoted by Yamaha around R1800 for the 10 000km service.

Sounds very reasonable

One man's reasonable is another man's eish !!

1800 is rather stiff for an oil and plug change.

no valve check or anything at 10k...

I'm not really sure what R1800 would be - perhaps its a full service, Air filter change and all??
not certain - just asked off the bat what a 10 000km service could cost.

Guess I'll find out at 10 000km  :ricky:

Ja there would be filters changed as well...

Corne can let us know soon though but i cant see it being more than hour and half labour and some parts...

1800 would be expensive imho for a thumper.

Can I join temporarily?
I am keeping the Tenere I was given for the XT Rally until Monday next week.... :ricky:
IMO this is the best 650 class single DS bike on the market.
The route we rode at the XT Rally was pretty demanding in places, the Tenere took it all with ease, deep step-offs, loose rocky climbs, serious ruts, the works.
The Tenere has awesome suspension and a very comfortable sitting position. IMO it is one of these bikes that once ridden it is sold... 8)
It needs a few extra's, crashbars, handguards, wider footpegs and a decent bash plate, then some luggage and off you go......anywhere! 8)
If you can keep your head in the midst of all this confusion, you don't understand the situation!

Another convert ...seems all he actually ride it love it.

i tend to be very analytical (anally so according to SWMBO) ..when the tenere was first mooted i was keen then yammie stuffed around a bit then the specs came to light and i was underwhelmed ,slightly underpowered, heavy, expensive ... then i actually rode one and it was like WOW ...

after a real brief ride i went straight back to dealer an signed. this bike is the dogs bollox i reckon. Yamaha have put some thought into this and it shows.

does need a few goodies ...
