I have reached 151km/h GPS speed with my R80, but on tar and a long gradual down hill  ;D
You have to be in it to win it!

I'm not so into speed (maybe just the wrong bike?)
But got 174km/h one OEM sprocket and 183km/h with 16 T front NOT GPS).
Just to see what it was.
Can't remember but likely slight down hill at least, maybe wind.
Performance zorst and unifilter (massive difference)
No instability
Heini rear and Pirelli MT21 front

BMW F650 DAKAR ; BMW 650 X-Challenge ; YAMAHA 660 TENERE ; BMW 800 GS KTM 200EXC. Now - KTM 950 Adventure S, KTM 250 XC-W and BMW 450 Rally

if u are interested in something no matter what it is, go at it full speed ahead, luke warm is no good, hot is no good either, white hot and passionate is the only thing to be...

OK... I am at a loss here... why buy a DS bike and then go haring around dirt roads at breakneck speed? What is the object?
I suppose taste does differ but I would think the object is to enjoy some of the scenery at an observable pace at least? :pot:

Some people ride for the terrain, and not the pretty flowers.
Thats why one needs two bikes, one for playing, and one for riding and lookin at the flowers

299 km/h (clock speed) on a gsxr750. The bike had a speed limiter on 299. Probably 260km/h (maybe slower) on a gps ???

268km/h on a Kawasaki zx636 (clock speed)

+- 175 km/h on tar with the xr650 and +- 170km/h on dirt (both clock speed). tried to go faster with the xr on dirt, but the bike is spinning the whole time.., so probably 160km/h on gps ???

did a speed sprint in a nissan 350z once, think I got to 240km/h but had to brake for a corner. was in an Audi 1.8T that was upgraded a lot and it got to 260km/h and that is where the clock stopped..

Years ago when I had my XR (answer high compression gasket and cam and answer pipe) it could reach 150km/h....but how it got there was a different story...lifting front up to 4  gear when hitting throttle.
This country suffers from cANCcer. If we don't have it cut out it will be terminal.

Got pulled over outside Parys for doing 248 on a GS.
Moments before a M3 passed me!
Spent about 20 minutes trying to explain that to a overweight cop with half of his morning coffee on his shirt that he pulled over the wrong person!
Life's not short,it is the longest thing you'll ever do.
