196 GPS, 215-220 speedo on my 1100RT, on way to Rhino Rally last year.

Did Potch-Carletonville in 15 minutes on my Kawasaki 1000R (Eddie Lawson Replica) - max speed indicated was 230 but I never trusted the speedo and didn't even know what a GPS was in 1999.

265 (speedtrap  :peepwall: but I knew people who knew people) on a 1999 ZX9R in 2000.

140 on CB450, throttle got stuck fully open.

Was doing just over 70 km/h when I hit a rock with the F650GS which sent the poor bike to an untimely death.....

GS 1200...
Did 219km/h (gps) between Port Nolloth and Alexanderbay , on the revlimiter.  Changes to the bike is a BMC aircleaner, Bosson slip on and the standard headers without the cat.
GS 1200 Adv (Riding buddy) did the same. Changes, full acropovic system and BMC filter.

DT125...  115Km/h with me on... 100kg's.  my son on his waved at me when he passed me. :-[

Just after fitting new Pirelli Angel ST tyres last year, I got 248km/h (on my speedo). That's the best I've seen.  ;) :mwink:

I've never checked GPS speeds.  :-[ Don't own a Zumo yet and also don't have a RAM mount for my 'older' Nuvi 710.  :'(

Since I've fitted a Pipercross aftermarket 'performance airfilter', she now runs into the 'rev limiter' on 241km/h (speedo).

Will check GPS speed and report back a.s.a.p.  :thumleft:

Of more importance, how fast can you go through.....lets say Baviaans???
[/quote]

Ok so I have done Unindale to the top of the last pass before Patensi in a very short time, speeds of 170km/h and more were seen on my gps. What does that make me?  I think it was very stupid, irisponsable (to me and fellow road uses) and crazy. I saw nothing, I smelt no flowers, took no pictures, hell it felt as if I was never there. BAD IDEA, now I normaly see how slow I can do trips.

On tar, I have seen 218 km/h, wow it felt good, BUT the same as above, WHY DO IT.  Guys if you want to see how fast you can go, go to a track/circut.  This speed means nothing other than to show how stupid and inconconsidirate we can be.

Hey we have all done it, so have I, but I now see things better at a slower pace.

I don't see the point of riding Baviaans if you just want to see how quickly you can get through it - I do dirt to see the countryside, not to see how much dust I can make.  :patch:

The question is simple. What is your top speed ?
The question is not about if it is relevant because you cannot go fast (or you cannot grasp the simplicity of the question), if you feel stupid, if you dream of 240 on GS, if you want to race Baviaans or cannot go fast. How difficult can it be to just answer the question, without exposing your inner fears or guilt feelings or just plain not understanding the question ?
If you cannot answer or add constructive comment, then go the next "fred" where perhaps you can tell everybody that you feel stupid, are born stupid, cant read, believe that everybody must live by your standards ext. I mean just reading the posts in this "fred" it seems there are a few people out here that needs a friend or just feel lonely and need to say someting just not to fall asleep. Just reading the "non relevance" answer made me understand that the world is full of Malema's.

I did 302.6Km/h on an aeronautical GPS on the tracking station road on my GSXR1000 that Alain took to 165 BHP on the back wheel (on Clubhouses dyno) - very few have seen a genuine 300m/h and I nearly crapped myself!!!!!

On more sane things my Adventure only gets 212 km/h and that's all you will see on a facelift R1200GS/GSA - that's the most it will do, the pre facelift model will go to 219 km/h max, anyone who says he saw more needs a new GPS!!!!

On dirt I did 204 km/h on the GS Challenge in Moolmanshoek, damn ass stupid twit thing to do but I had to get the T Shirt lol

MD was dit tot by rev limmiter gewees  ? MD ten minste probeer jy nie oorkompenseer vir die 5 kg  wat jy oorgewig is met kak komentaar nie.
