BMW 1200GS pics
« on: September 20, 2009, 09:20:57 am »
Went out on a ride on my own around the Boschkop, Donkerhoek area just outside Pretoria, in order to
take a couple of pics of my bike. This is it, what do you guys think?

Nice, but I would like to make two suggestions to improve your photos.

1) Take more care to get the horizon level. Picture no.2 in particular makes me giddy. With a very wide angle lens (or pano shots) the curvature tends to be exaggerated.  That's why a tripod is a great help; take your time to get the composition right. If in a given situation experiment with taking it from a different hights. This can make a big difference.

2) The telephone lines in the goalpost photo are very distracting. Unfortunately our countryside is littered with powerlines, telephone lines and unsightly fences. Avoid them like the plague. As a last resort: Clone stamp tool.

1200GSA. It's like the girl you marry, reliable, maybe a bit overweight but you know she will always look after you even though she may not be the most exciting ride.

HP2. It’s like the pole dancer you have thoughts of running away with, you know at some point it will end in tears but you just have to come back for more, at times it makes no sense but when you get down and dirty who cares about sense."

Great pictures ! What camera did you use ?

Do you still live in Arizona? I see your Avatar says Gauteng ?

If you are in AZ we should hook up for a ride ?
