its actually R61.00 i pay it twice a week trust me it grates me all the time....and paid it again today up on my LT it friggin sucks

I never pay toll fees

I drive through behind a cage every time and I havent recieved any trouble whatsoever.

Untill they get a fee for the bikes ,I will keep doing my thing....

Except when in Natal. There I don't want to piss Metro off hey  I just use alternative roads.

But up here in Gauteng or on my way to Sabie, I never pay. Been two years now since I stopped paying

its a kak law and i hate paying especially the expensive ones and the shlep when on a bike to get off the gloves and get the money....but it also feels wrong to do the skip thing....i feel like a thief...sorry thats just the way i feel about skipping tolls...so i pay or go on the alternative rd

Has been done. Twice at Grasmere Plaza, and about a month ago at Middelburg.

It made the news, but all it showed was how bikers piss of cagers etc etc. Did more harm than good in my opinion.

The one at Middelburg ended up with cagers and bikers having a fist fight, and it all was captured on the cameras at the Tollgate.

The only toll gate I know of is on the bloukrans bridge, but there you take the alternate route, and that is frieken beautifull!  do you okes have lots of toll roads up there? shame man

About 500m before & after this toll gate there are roads going over the railway line, I just ride around. Definately not an easy ride, & not do-able on an LT, but gives a huge warm fuzzy feeling....

in Zimbabwe - the bikes go free.... through the tonnes of 'toll gates' they have on the road from Harare to Bulawayo. So, are they more intelligent in zim than SA then?

Never skipped. Just took alternative roads.

If I'm on my bike I usually skiet the toll gates. I refuse to pay!!! If I'm ever stuck behind bikers at a toll gate that are protesting and going through one at a time paying in small change I will stand by and applaude them irrespective of how long I'll have to wait.

In my car I will always pay the toll gates although I have on occasion considered skieting one for the hell of it 

However attached is a pic taken at a toll gate in Zim recently. These toll gates are erected on certain main roads and if these blokes can give the bikes are break (and they need the money more than SA does) then why can't the same apply here???
