I was checking the bike out this weekend and decided that I know longer felt safe with my rear tyre. It is my 3rd Scorpion and the first one to wear so badly. There was still a fair amount of tread on the tyre but it had tears in it where the steel re-inforcing was starting to show through in these tears.
So I decided to change front and back. Took the front off and realised that the front brake pads are not looking so hot either. Replaced them too. Took the back off and inspected the chain.......fooked!
So tomorrow it will be a new chain as well as front and rear sprockets......ouch and right before Xmas too :evil:
I must just say that Bike Stuff in Paarden Eiland are guys to go for tyre fitment....what a pleasure dealing with them. They were also almost R500.00 cheaper than their competitors (starts with a "T") for the set of tyres.
