This is where it all started in 1976. The first (and probably only) bike that I got brand stinking new. How many of you 'more mature' guys remember this. They were blue, red or gold.

I don't have a bike at the moment, but the following pics are of what I used to ride in my earlier days. This one was taken on the way back from Durban in the mid 80's. Damn... it was cold there

And this is the one on which I had the most fun of all

There are old riders, and bold riders, but no old, bold riders.

Cooool !

I had a Honda SS like that as well.

Mine was red.

Throttle did stick so you could go 'look ma, no hands' for the whole day !

My friend's two stroke bikes were always faster on topend, but no one could stay with me on pullaway. And if they really got picky we would 'drag' with two up to clear things right up.
And I never had to steal extra money for twostroke oil ...

Welcome to the forum!

02/02/12 - RIP Glen - the Arrow of Elliot and the little man with the big heart that truly was larger than life.

You have touched us and left us better for having known you - even if it was only briefly.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away

I remember that all too well...

I've still got a workshop manual for it lying somewhere in my workshop

I never had any mates that rode two strokes with us. Of the only 2 mates I rode with, one rode a red one, like yours... and his was faster because it was RED  :D , and the other rode a gold one, but he did a 72cc conversion, and walked the lot of us.

If I recall correctly, it came out with a 2.50 tyre on the back. When that wore, I put a 2.75 on, and it was good for a few extra k's downhill.
