...got my name (KalahariBen) 'cause of my 1st BM I ever owned: a beautiful R80GS Kalahari (apparently only 50 built).

Now looking to move from my current 1100 back to a R80...

Why would you ever sell that bike?

I have asked myself that question a number of times...

I must confess that I was quite torn: I wanted to get an 1100 or 1150 (more mower, ABS brakes, heated grips etc.), but also wanted to keep the Kalahari.

Eventually I had to sell the Kalahari to get my 1100 (Anneversary Edition).

My plan is to try to get hold of a PD-Classic - preferrably a bike that can become a project (new paint job etc. - I've never liked the black paint scheme on the PD-Classic)
