Imagine starting a story...

Hentie, Bus, Bakkie and Ganjora walk into a bar ...

Eish.

eish, with those names mentioned i really DO want 2 hear this story

After having heard some of the discussions at the bash, if there was a latex glove somewhere nearby, there may be another explanation…… :P

I arrived home last night at about 7.

Tired but very satisfied.

Had an adventure on the way home.

Took the road from Calvinia to Ceres and then wanted to go across to Wuppertal.
Ended up doing a 4x4 route that ended on the bank of the Doringrivier with no way to pass.
;D ;D ;D

So I had to backtrack and head for Ceres with too little fuel in the tank.

Nursed 180km of gravel highway at about 80.
Man that was boring.
;D

But I made it safely.

Apart from the overpriced braaipacks and the food of Saturday night the bash was freakin' amazing!
(And to be honest - the food didn't put a damper on the company we had! ;D )

It really was an awesome venue with very lekker roads to get there.

It was also great to be able to spend time with some of the guys that I would never get to see face to face.
Also to get to spend time with some of the cape town guys a little more than just what we see at Kriges.

Thanks all for making this one hellova memorable and successful bash.

Btw - KTM guys laugh at our BMW people if we want to play the same games than what they do.
I mean - if they can rev their bikes in the middle of the night, why can't I ?

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

02/02/12 - RIP Glen - the Arrow of Elliot and the little man with the big heart that truly was larger than life.

You have touched us and left us better for having known you - even if it was only briefly.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away

Took an easy ride back over 2 days and spent the night camping in Bloemhof next to the river with plenty of rum.

Thanks to everyone involved in making it happen  :thumleft:

Was great to meet up with old friends and to make some new ones.

Jacko - thanks for the riding company on the way up (and also for Bud500 who joined us from Carnarvon) - it really was a pleasure to ride with you guys.

Pleasure was mutual, you smoked pork knuckle.

I also took R355 from Calvinia to Ceres on my own. I was tired, gatvol and still slightly hung over. But man, that is one zen piece of road.

I really, really smaaked doing it back solo. Only people who also appreciate that magic solitude that solo riding offers will appreciate it. I only encountered one vehicle in 252 km. One's senses are heightened and you really pay attention to your riding as an off could mean a night of unintended camping, possibly even worse.

But it really makes you feel very alive, yeeeeehah!
