bush whacking - getting her dirty
« on: February 20, 2006, 09:07:41 am »
finally got my bike back on friday so i decided to go play on sunday. when the gf heard this she wanted to come with. so i decided on a leisurely cruise around an old mining area.
i followed the railway tracks at modrea station and then went into the old state mines area. found the old mine managers property which is now overgrown. also went into the blue gum plantation but didn't take any pics. i have never taken a pillion offroad before and need more practice. i only dumped it once trying to turn around in thick sand with her on the back.

old SAR train,
i'm not a complete idiot. some parts are missing.

the "rather sweat than bleed" argument didn't fly with her. she can be kind of stubborn and hardegat. but she had a nice sunburn on her shoulders when we got home (that'll learn her     ).
she wears her leather jacket when we go on longer journeys. but its always a fight when she doesn't.

I pity the skin on your ladies shoulders and arms when you guys come off, which you will. "I guarantee it"    :D

On that note, if my lady says no to gear, she doesnt go. Its my bike, I am the pilot, I makes my rules. And guess what - she even goes inside and changes "Dress" when I say NEE.

And at the end of the day, she thanks me for caring about her like that...  8)  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Have to agree with LITO on this one. My wife does not get on the bike without proper gear, even for just a short trip. I would feel like absolute crap having a fall with her on and no protective gear!!!

i agree with you guys too, maybe i should have set the ground rules in the beginning. i let her ride without a jacket once and now she thinks she can do it all the time. jeez, women...

edit: "ground rules" geddit,  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D
