I have spoken to all my biker mates to think carefully before going out to buy some toys. A 12 to 15 year old boy or girl is really not interested in owning a teddy bear. (Yes I know they look cool on the bike on the way to the venue.)

Please guys think about some educational toys like puzzles etc. Sports goods will always go down a treat. Consider buying a nice pair of size 9 or 10 training shoes you will make some less fortunate child very happy.

Every year I am amazed by what the biking community can acheive , it really makes me proud. If we put a little bit of thought into what the kids want and need we can acheive even more.

Food for thought , just my opinion . See you on saturday I will be ridind my green camo Ural with sidecar . Hope to see you all there. :thumleft:

Absolutely - last year I gave a soccer ball and a netball ball - versatile age and gender wise.

But this year I may change the girl gift as not all girls play netball - maybe stationery or make-up ?

Was thinking of a rucksack of pens/pencils/koki-pens crayons etc ?

Me and Bertrand definitely attending.  I loved it last year as a pillion, and will enjoy it even more this year, going on my own bike.

+1

Anyway I have done it a few times and it is almost a bike parking lot... Hard to get into trouble at 40km/h. Just keep a safe following distance and be awake.
