Thus, the meeting place of the WDs is at Red Cherry Adventures opposite the Engen.  Hope to see a lot of other dawgs there.  All that I know is it is going to be crazy, especially when the mass ride go pass Walmer Park in Main Rd with the Food Festival happening there today.  Yesterday no parking was to be found at Walmer Park ... that is going to be one busy section of road!

My 1st Run and 'twas lekker. The wind picked up a bit but that was my queue to leave in any case. Big thanks to the organizers for a nice day. Also a big thanks to Watty for yet another paw sticker, Fugly for some refreshments and the entry fee, BigE for a toy that I forgot to bring, and to the dogs for company :thumleft:

Today was my 1st toy run. CT.
It was such an amazing experience. I loved every moment.
Never seen so many bikes nor a container with so many toys. And really nice toys!!
May many kiddies be blessed through the great fun we had

For me it was some GOOD and then some BAD.

The GOOD is that there is something great happening. More and more DS's are present in the Toy Run which I by the way have been watching for years and attended 4 or so. The most stylish ladies are on DS's while some real hot buts are still to be seen on superbikes....but as soon as she look over her sholder and smile she is missing a tooff :-) Some nice bikes, some great bikes and then suddenly this FUGLY bikes with the number  plate starting with FF :-) I see him, I see him....o hell he 's gone. Next time I saw him he was doing that meerkat thing again standing up on that yella 800 coming out the gate at the B field. Hell I wish we had Jules's stickers and badges already cos then maybe Fugly would have greated me when he rode 1.5 meter past me. Ya I could smell your breath Fugly :-)

The BAD is that there was no off-road Toy Run this year. There was a moerse lot of bikes and quads at the Casino for 2 years in a row and then suddenly nada. Any of you guys interested in the off road one cos then I will contact Joan and Ian and see what we can do for next year. The ride today was okay but I don't think they had it all together. They allowed one big group to pull out with about 35% of the crowd still standing in front of Honda. The next moment there was no marshals to be seen and a moerse lot of bikes were riding around trying to find out where the mass ride went. Not great control like in the past.

But then like J Man said it is about the kids and for them I believe the day still worked out great. I am sure that all the bikers opened their pockets for them today and that makes it a GREAT EVENT which was well supported.

I agree. The animal hydes make them look scrumptious. Take ladies on bicycles for instance. If my dad told me when I was a laaitie that a chamoi, they say it is made from pig's hyde, could look SOOOO nice I would have washed the car more often :-)

I think the change of the after-party venue is the big reason why we could not do some off-road time.  Rover MC is off-road turf, and not having it as the end point, the off-roaders were perhaps  side-lined and not interested in the run - a feasible route not available?  Would actually be nice to know why the rugby-fields were selected this year.

At least it was lekker to meet and recognise at least  7 Wild Dogs (Fugly, JMan, Gorra, Wabbit, Rone, Cutman, Big E).  Will post some photo later.
