The 125 is at least much lighter and "should" handle easier in the dunes but will suffer in long running straights piste in comparison with speed - I think... :?

Yeah, but that little motor singing in the red the whole way? Won't last.

What, I made copies of my trip to Magoebaskloof & he did of his "Race to Gyani" en "Mud to glory" (Babelikwa 1000) :wink:

but you're right..
You can always rinse the surface

I will have to change the stickers on my bike to "North-West" as that is where i do most of my riding

How about the Kawasaki KLR 650 Baviaans...

3 french guys on 125 suzuki mx bikes, called Team Objective Dune all reached Dakar back in the 80's.  :D

My friend, the African born guy who now lives in Oz started 205 and yesterday was up to postion 103.

After suffering engine failure after 257 km of this 5th special stage, South African quad rider Cornel De Villiers could not repair the problem and is now waiting for the ?broom car?.

On bikes we have Tom, Hein Joubert and Oz Bestel.
Quads still have Johan Steenkamp.

And of course Geniel doing well in the VW.
Navigator Pitchford too.
