Honda Enduro Mod 1 training at Gerotek
« on: December 07, 2009, 10:52:49 am »
I was fortunate to be invited to attend the Honda Enduro Mod 1 training yesterday at Gerotek.  I don't own an enduro bike, but Honda kindly provided me with a CRF250 (with happy button)  :thumleft:.

We started just after 9 with some warm up riding, and then off to the drop offs, starting small and ending big.

Hoofseun showing us how to

We rode through two logs, did the snake, grinding before we chased each other around a tyre circle. I lost solidly to eatmyKTM  :-[

Then we rode through the rock pit, and up and down an insane hill just to be taken to another part where we must go down which was extreme.

We ended with riding a log, and out of a hole.

If I have to sum the day up in one word it must be - unfreakingbelievableawesomefun  :thumleft:

Thanks to Hein from Honda and Hoofseun for being our instructor.  I DID learn plenty of new tricks and skills.  :deal:

Looks like you guys did some hard obstacles. I enjoyed the DS training yesterday. Maybe in a few months I will look at the mod1... First need some time riding to get yesterday's training settled in nicely.

Not quite B,

As a true gentleman, bertrand looked on whilst Malibu fixed the rear puncture.  :pot: It's true, I saw it with my own eyes.  :imaposer:

Defnitely. I was quite spoilt with my varadero and tubeless tyres. My first flat with the xchallenge came as a bit of a surprise, but turned into an impromptu "tech day" by Malibu. I had the kit, and knew the theory, but if malibu wasn't there it would have taken me a loooooong time to fix that flat.

Total Pleasure!  As I said, I love those smiles.

And Berrtand did all the tough stuff with the tube repair... like levering on the tyre with his little levers...   :mwink:  I was mostly just giving him hints on how to do it easier...

Thanks to Heine from Honda and Hoofseun for being our instructor.  I DID learn plenty of new tricks and skills.  :deal:

Hi Herman

You guys, through the CMA Off-road Chapter, do so much for the biking community and it is just fair that you receive something back.  Thnxs for joining us and best wishes with the work of the CMA Off-road Chapter as someone needs to care and look after our spiritual needs as well.  You showed us that the two worlds (spiritual and biking) can co-exists and be fun as well!
