« on: December 16, 2009, 10:27:43 pm »
What mods have you done to your bike?

What is MUST have.
What is NICE to have.

Add some pics if you can and contact details where you got it from.

Any aftermarket stuff goes  :thumleft:

My GSA is stock. And it can't stay stock, that is my motto  :ricky:

So tips and advice please!!!

A "zero-cost" mod to ensure that your seat lock un-locks:

Do it now - BEFORE you need it.  :mwink:

Orange head-light protector sitting with vulcro on a clear headlight protector.  Handlebar risers (i'm 1.78), GPS garmin mount.  Extra power socket to the left of the windscreen (there are places both left and right specifically for that).  Thats it - bike is awesome just as it is.  Next project: custom respray

Remove CAT
Handle bar risers only if you are not a dwarf

And if you plan to lie down often
Spot lights move to safer place
Better crash bars

Potentio Meter Cover, for what its worth, if you fall and that goes, youre going nowhere  :mwink:

New rear shock, stronger one, if your going to do off-road;

GS Light card with oi-cooler protector, those damn lights are expensive  :o ;

New front and rear disc brakes (different from the stock c=standard ones), the current ones will warp etc, just a matter of time  >:D

Remove the rear mudguard if your going to take the beast off-road :ricky:

Stronger crash bars, that cover the valve covers, those stock crash-bars are actually a joke  :-\

Thats all for now  :pot:

    1150 or 1200GSA?

New 1200 GSA fullhouse. Also bought panniers and topbox from BMW.
Just waiting for delivery at the moment. Bike is still in a crate  :drif:  :drif:

So far I have...

Zumo 500 with mount
Starcom Intercom set.

Rest must still follow.

Want....

Headlight/oilcooler guard
Slip on pipe

And then I'm keeping my eye on this thread to get some ideas on what to get that I don't think of now  :drif:
