The grips on my 3 year old GSA were getting a bit tired, the OEM rubber tends to get a bit tacky.

I was fitting a set of Barkbusters

So while the hand guards were off, I decided to spruce up my grips. I forget where I had heard about this farkle but can report that it is cheap, easy to do and the result is good.
The plan is to use some inexpensive bicycle tube, punch some holes in it and pull it over the old grips.
I bought a 1 3/4 inch cycle tube

Cut to size (about 5mm longer than the grip) and punch some 10mm diameter holes in it, evenly spaced.

Pull onto the grips and reassemble the hand guards, dont forget a spot of locktite on the threads at the bar end weight threads.

The result.
Gone is the slightly sticky feel, the grips are fractionally thicker and feel just that bit chunkier as they should on this bike IMHO.
Fitting the Barkbusters was a doddle, just be sure you have a good set of torque bits, the original bar end weight is locktited in there properly.
