Went for the next installement of bad news today. I'm in a walking cast now, and should be able to walk without crutches within a few days, but still stuck in a cast for the next six weeks.

But at least I'll be able to drive, which means I'll be able to get around.  :)
Great news, my book 'Sniffer' has seen the light of day on Amazon Kindle!

Is a walking cast that bendable thing?

So they took the "gips" off ?

Geez boet, another six weeks, that's a bummer. It has been 13 weeks already!!!

Will you remember how to ride your bike???

Strongs!

No, a walking cannot bend. But it ends below the knee so I can now bend my knee, and it has a rubber heel to step on.

BAIE sterkte, veral met die verswakte spiere en stywe ligamente en senings.  Oefening en fisios is maar die beste.  Kon self al die krukke weggooi, maar die spiere lol maar nog.

Leon... get one of those big exercise balls, use it instead of a chair when watching tv or browsing the web. It makes you balance all the time using your leg muscles, helps a lot with getting back the tone. If you can get physio as well it all helps get you back in the saddle quicker.

Hang in there

Oh yes can you follow up on the mystry R100.00 from the pub in Clarence so we can get it back to it's owner or into the WD fund ...

Still fighting my bust femur since last year August, apparently have a non-union. Doc says to take it easy and try an ultrasonic machine or go and have the leg re-broken and the pin fitted again.   :( :( :(

So I'm taking it easy (only ride sitting down now and back on a crutch) and am contemplating the machine, nearly R10k -  medical aid is squirming. Already spent all their money on therapy and exercise (was a waste as the bone wasn't healed). I've gotta have the machine as I'm not keen on another op at all.  Another 3 months of no work will kill me.

Anyways, LeonDude, the machine is made by Smith and Nephew (google search). They claim fantastic results as do the local agents. Look it up, it might just be the thing you need.

Don't let fear hold you back ..... take it with you!

Yep, the WD's can stand in as background cast in a WW1 trench warfare film.
I hope you heal well and soon,LD.
