I managed to scrape 9 people together in record time to go for a ride to Greyton from Somerset West. Familiar guys from the forum were Butch, GS Joe and Justforkix. The other guys got the Wild Dog business cards, so hopefully we'll see them on the forum soon.

The weather this morning was an absolute beaut! We set off from the Shell garage outside Somerset West, up Sir Lowrey's pass and turned off after Houw Hoek Inn to meet up with the Houw Hoek pass. Butch with his new helmet:

Smoke break at the end of the pass (in Botrivier):

Next up is the Van der Stel pass. Road conditions were quite good on the pass and we didn't encounter much traffic - perfect!

A spot on the Van der Stel pass where you can do wine tasting - next time...

From there we still had good roads until Genadendal where they were doing "road works". The road was scraped, but had 'stofgate' which you don't see unless you're bouncing through them. They sort of give the rider behind you the impression that you wiped out with the massive amount of dust they make.

We each had a full English breakfast (R35) in Greyton at that first restaurant on the right (it changed names recently) - can be recommended.

On the way back - the road sign is quite sad...
