Hallo to all.

I am not going to write too much regarding this trip of exploring Damaraland (Doros Crater, Desolation Valley, Huab River) except that it might be my last adventure trip  . The higher powers :x (wife and kids) told me, no sorry, ordered me to enjoy it for the last time. I will have to become a responsible, unselfish, unadventurous, boring, rugby loving, big belly husband and father.

I will have to sell the Cruiser and get a family sedan, the tent and get a caravan, the Zonkmobile and get 4 quads with a trailer :? . So, if any one wants to buy a TransAlp that has never seen dirt  , please call me. And, if anyone of you knows what "family motor" will be strong enough to pull a 80 square meters caravan and a 4 quad trailer, please let me know. :(

All I know is that this might be my last adventure trip and that my presence on this forum will disappear. For I am selfish, reckless, irresponsible, bla-bla-bla-bla.... And the list goes on. Just wonder what the wives and kids of all the missionaries, men working overseas, truck drivers, men that return home after 10 at night, say regarding them? Shit!

So, before boring everybody with my demise, here is the trip. I will put up the photos as I get time, so please be patient.

I left Pretoria 11:00 am and reached Kang in Botswana at 17:00. I slept there at the Kang Ultra Stop Lodge (Cabin) (S23 40 53.3 E22 45 58.3).

At Okahandja Rest Camp, now called Kings Highway Rest camp (S21 59 58.1 E16 55 19.2). Very nice place with a swimming pool. The second day.

Looking back at my camping spot, standing in the Huab river bed. I used this camping spot while I scouted the area for about 3 days.

Wilddogs looking over the dry river bed. I believe this might be the first Wilddog shirt in Damara.
